For those that have been to boots and kimo in kailua, I made these ginger molasses pancakes with macademia nut sauce over them. The sauce comes pretty close!

Expanding Composting Operations

My yard generates a lot of brown materials. Thankfully we had a lot of enterprise computing equipment come in, so I saved up all the shipping pallets (these probably have some Netapp part numbers stamped on them) and build a second composting bin. I also made the sorting unit in the middle for sorting out the small particles of compost and separating out the twigs. Below is the final product. Some fresh rich compost! Now I need to build some elevated planter boxes. If anyone has scrap wood I'd be happy to remove them for you.
