Hit 80k miles today. Thats less than 10k miles per year. To celebrate we went up da long mountain.

 

A 14 ton mirror making its way down 5 floors from the observation deck to the aluminizing chamber. The smallest of gaps along the way.

 

A freshly Aluminized Primary mirror. Hopefully it'll be 3 years before the next one.
